Because there are multiple ways for publications to be added to your Elements profile, you may find that a publication has multiple sources. The tab labeled "Data Sources" will have a number of records from online or manual sources associated with the publication. Click on this tab to view the data sources and choose your preferred source.

Step 1: View data sources
Open the record and go to the "Data sources" tab.

Step 2: Select the preferred record
To view the database name, hover the cursor over the database icon(logo). Manual records will have a gear icon next to it. These records may be ones that were migrated from FAR or were uploaded from a citations management tool. Simply highlight the star next to the preferred record to display this version in your profile.
