How to select a preferred publication record

Because there are multiple ways for publications to be added to your Elements profile, you may find that a publication has multiple records from online sources. In the "Detailed view" toggle you will see a tab called "Data Sources". Click on the tab to see all of the records associated with this record.

To view the database name, hover the cursor over the database icon(logo).  Manual records will have a gear icon next to it. These records may be ones that were manually entered or imported from a citation manager or third party database.   Simply highlight the star next to the preferred record to display this version in your profile.
